We have officially graduated from a fertility specialist to a regular obgyn this week! Let me fill you in briefly on the past two weeks. We had a really good check up and doc said two weeks instead of one for our last visit. Unfortunately, we had yet another bleeding scare. Although, I am proud to say I didn't turn into a total basket case this time. I talked to the doc that night and he had me come in early the next day. He couldn't find anything on the ultrasound, but suspects it was same problem as before...the placenta probably didn't attach well in an area and pulled away. We got an awesome picture of the baby that day (sorry, can't share, it's in a frame on Chad's desk). We could see toes and fingers and all kinds of things. I had to go back over to the hospital (4 hours at that place. Ug.) for yet another shot of RhoGAM. It takes forever because they have to type my blood every single time I go just to make sure I'm really A-. Sheesh. I've been thinking positive "placenta attachment" thoughts and things have been fine since then.
Back to graduation day. Well, the baby looks similar to an alien again. I'm told those are brow lines not alien eyes. His head is very large which makes me chuckle. Things should be getting more into proportion before long. He was VERY active during the ultrasound and doc had a tough time getting good still shots. He would stretch out and wave at us, then ball back up for the pictures.

I have gained 3 pounds which I was thankful for so I wouldn't have to get another lecture. The nausea is almost gone! Yeah! I am starting to get a pooch which is especially funny after I've eaten. Chad's mom ordered my first maternity outfit. I'm going to order an outfit with each paycheck so it won't be so rough when I wake up one morning and can't fit into anything anymore. Most things still fit while standing up. Things are much tighter once I'm sitting, though. I'll be posting belly shots before long just for my mom who was upset that she wouldn't get to watch me get fat.
All is well and we're moving into the 2nd trimester! It will be 12 weeks this Friday. We may not get all of the cool pictures now that we're not "special" anymore, but I'll post the ones we do get.

I think you will be such a cute pregnant person!!! I can hardly wait to see you guys.
I've been watching your blog to keep up with how you are doing since Dean said you were pregnant! I'm glad that you are getting to be a "regular" pregnant person. High risk is definitely over-rated! Trust me when it is all over - it's worth everything that you have to do for the next 24 weeks! I look at Addi and say "wow!" all the time! You three are in our thoughts and prayers!
We love our 'alien', and you are the best 'host' Holly. Thanks for keeping us posted and we are glad you are feeling better. Looking forward to the fat pictures. Just take it easy and give in to the cravings whatever they may be!
Am I the only one that saw you mention "He" three times?? Do you know something we don't?? Or is it that your "mother instincts"?? Okay, too many questions...I'll stop now! "He's" absolutely gorgous!
