Advanced Child

Today's follow-up visit with the Dr. went great. The ultrasound showed several new things that the doctor pointed out to me: the umbilical cord, the brain, the spine, and little stumps where the arms and legs will grow. The heartbeat was 134 bpm this time! The coolest thing was that the baby actually moved during the ultrasound. The doctor said this was a new record for a baby moving so early. He said usually it doesn't happen until 8 weeks if then. We both decided it was because Chad and I have an advanced child. Hee, hee! I don't know if you can tell in the images but the baby is in a slightly different position than it was. I would never have known, honestly if the doctor didn't tell me :0)

Just a note to clarify: these are two separate pictures of the same baby...NOT twins!

The doctor finally gave me a perscription for some antinausea meds (THANK YOU!). Hopefully I can hold down some food now. I've also been put on Ensure for awhile until the appetite kicks in again.

The spot that caused the bleeding is still there, but has not changed. I'm allowed to go back to work tomorrow as long as I take it easy. Looks like no tether ball on the playground with the kids!

I go back next week for another ultrasound. That's the news for now. Question: Now that we're pregnant, will there ever be anything but baby news? This consumes my every waking thought right now. I never realized how many baby commercials are out there. They're on all the time!

I am so relieved to hear that things are going well. Morning/Afternoon/Evening sickness can be miserable, I had it HORRIBLY with my last pregnancy the anti-nau. meds will be your best friend!
LOVE the nursery set it will be great for a boy or girl.
Take care and take it calm and easy(easier said than done, huh!) so baby will stay happy.
We will always be sending good thoughts and mojo to you, Chad and superbaby!

Wait til you ask your child if you can change the channel to "Pinky, Dinky Doo" because you've already seen every episode of "Wow, Wow Wubzy"...cherished moments of mommyhood-lol

So glad things are going well and to learn that we have an advanced grandbaby on the way. Hope you are holding down food-for-two by now. Not knowing the names you've picked will be hard!
