Last Hoo-rah

We were invited to Little Elm (north of Dallas) to visit Chad's parents John and Emie this weekend. We originally weren't going to go, but decided this would be our last chance for a little get away before the madness of school and football begins. We're so glad we did!

John and Emie bought tickets to a local comedy club, The Improv, where we saw Ralphie May. It was just like you see on t.v. I don't know if I would have laughed at all of the jokes if I'd been watching them on t.v., but something about the atmosphere made everything the guy said really funny. Here's my picture of Ralphie May...I took it while we were getting shoved out the door like sardines. I had to hold the camera above my head and aim:

Charlie came along for the ride and she did GREAT! We got the vet to give us a prescription for motion sickness...this is the first trip we took where she didn't get sick. She did get excited when we stopped at McDonald's, though:

Thanks Clark and Emie! That's it for us. We're slowing down on the fun factor. Well, at least the non-football kind of fun. We're having all of the coaches/wives over this Friday so we can get to know the newbies. There's talk Sister and AO might make it down this weekend also which would be AWESOME!

Thanks for the updates. Charlie looked pretty in her crate.

Have a fun bbq and I hope Rachel and Aaron get to attend.
