Projects
Once football season ends, Chad and I begin making our lists. We have several lists going right now: "House Wants," "House Needs," "Projects Now," "Projects Later," etc. It's fun to slowly work on the things we want to improve around the house. Recently, Chad built a wine box for on top of the kitchen fridge. He put in new hardware on all of the kitchen cabinets. We added lattice and a climbing jasmine vine to the back fence. (Check out the Rangers blog to see the other projects.) Then, yesterday, we decided to tackle the garage floor. This was on the "House Wants" list. Here are a few of the before, during, and after pictures:

We were a washing-machine-in-the-front-lawn away from looking like white trash for awhile:
It was about midnight by the time the floor was dry and we were able to move everything back inside:

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the floor is now tan with black, tan, and white paint chips. It will be protected the next time I accidentally spill a can of wood stain. We used Rust-Oleum Garage Floor Coating. It took two kits. We ran out at the very end with about 20 square feet left. Clever marketing technique.
Next project: finish painting the spare bedrooms.
