Busy Week

It's been a very busy/fun week. We were invited by some football friends to spend a couple of nights at the beach house they'd rented for the week. Chad and I decided to make a day of it at the beach before meeting up with them. This is my version of the "Corona" beer commercial. Slightly less classy but lots of fun.

The view from the beach house was gorgeous every morning. Craig and Debbie Simmons were generous to offer the invitation. Our routine went something like this: get up. take Advil. eat breakfast. go out to the beach. drink. eat lunch on the beach. drink. eat dinner at the house. drink. go back to the beach. drink. fire and s'mores on the beach. drink. shower at the house (maybe). drink. go to bed. repeat.

A storm rolled in one afternoon. It was gorgeous. It got very windy and sprinkled a little, but apparently Galveston was hit harder than Crystal Beach where we were staying. Thanks Craig and Debbie...it was a BLAST!

After our beach trip we drove up to Austin to help my little sister and her boyfriend get all moved in. They moved down from Missouri. We got to visit with my parents while we were there which was nice. Their place is very cute and I'm so excited to have family within a short drive.

Aaron has been working hard managing a sushi restaurant and Rachel just finished taking state tests so that she can begin getting her alternative teaching certification.

Next week's adventures: detox, get back into a healthy work out/eating routine, and house projects. Until then...
