We have officially moved across the cul-de-sac into a cute little one story with very kind, normal, not shady landlords. Our last landlord was not fun to deal with. Fortunately, a former prosecuting attorney has moved into that house and they are not putting up with his shadiness. We are still leasing our home in Baytown and all is well with that. Housing situation improved...check.
LISD managed to save all probationally certified teachers in spite of drastic state budget cuts. Chad's job is unaffected. I will be moving campuses. I will be working as a Title II literacy coach at a campus with -what's the opposite of diverse?-demographics. The population is 90-something % Hispanic and 98% at-risk. I will be working with teachers, modeling lessons and contributing to staff professional development. This will be my most challenging position thus far and will be a great opportunity to take my career in new directions. Job situation back under control...check.
