Whoa! Slow Down Little Man!

Graham is growing so fast I can't keep up with the updates! I've almost missed posting Graham's 6 month milestones! He'll be 7 months in another week. It seems like by the time I finally get pictures uploaded he's already doing 10 other new things.

Lately, he has been rolling as his mode of transportation. He only goes in one direction. We've been putting toys just out of reach to encourage some scooting. He kicks and gets excited and then gets frustrated. I'm working on getting video...of course by the time I get it and get it uploaded he'll be crawling, I'm sure.

He eats two solid meals a day now. Apple rice cereal is his favorite. He likes bananas now, too. He's almost ready to sit up on his own. He prefers to lay on his side so he'll topple over on purpose to lay down instead. Lazy bones.

We all got to visit with Papa Richard and Nana over the Thanksgiving break. I'm glad Graham got to officially meet them now that he's a little older. We have decided not to travel home for Christmas. I'm sad about that. We had trouble working out the timing with the kennel for Charlie and we felt it would just be to much to try to do in too little time. We're planning an early summer trip instead.

Graham will start a new daycare on Monday. It's a lady who does in-home care for just a few kids. She came highly recommended by coworker. I'm really hoping this will cut down on some of the diseases and germs. He'll be more likely to get some one-on-one interaction as well. I hope. We've already dropped off his favorite saucer toy and we're buying duplicates of some of his favorites at home to take over. That's a nice bonus also...he had to use all of the pre-slobbered-on toys at daycare and couldn't have any of his own things.

Other new things...he's officially found his feet. That was new the week Papa and Nana visited. It makes diaper changing time very entertaining. AND we love splashing in the bathtub! I've ordered a nonslip mat so we're going to try sitting up in some shallow water. He's been getting too big for his little bathtub for quite awhile now. He started some new babbles while Nana and Papa were visiting. There seems to be a real purpose to his outward conversation now. His favorite is dadadadadadada with some raspberries thrown in. He'll go on and on just to tell you about his day.

Graham and his dad have found some unique ways to keep each other busy. Chad has added some customization to Graham's car so that he doesn't have to bend over to push him. Graham loves it! (His socks are taking a beating, though.) They also have a blast playing the "Blanket Game." Love my boys.

And just to prove we do have (somewhat 0f) a life outside of being new parents (no. we really don't. who am I kidding?), I'll leave you with this fine video of Chad and Aaron chasing a mouse Scraps brought in. Or it might have been a little mole. Scraps was bringing in baby moles for awhile. Rachel watched him set this one down after he came inside. That cat!

Wow!!! he is growing so fast and it has only been 8 days since we saw him. I think he had a blast this past week. I know his grandparents did.
