Giant Catch-Up Post

I've gotten behind on our family news so this will be a long one.

First, Sister moved to Baytown! Rachel and Aaron arrived earlier this summer and are beginning to get settled. Rachel will be teaching 5th grade language arts at the same school where I teach. It's crazy, but so exciting at the same time. I'm sooo glad to have her here.
We've been going to the gym together each day and she and Aaron come over for dinner most nights. Good times.

In similar news, I was offered a new position at the school where I have been teaching 3rd grade. Next year, I will be the Intermediate Language Arts Coach on campus. I will not have a regular classroom. Instead, I will go into the classrooms of our newer teachers (yes, including Rachel) and model lessons in reading and writing. I will also pull small groups of students to work with closer to state testing time. It will be a lot of work, but no papers to grade at night, no parent conferences, etc. I'm really looking forward to the change and the challenge.

Recently, Chad and I took Graham for our first family pictures. We went to a little studio called Picture This. God bless this photographer. We woke Graham up from his morning nap for some of the pictures...not a great idea we discovered. He woke up mad and stayed mad for the rest of the shoot. I was determined to get some naked baby shots. I got pooped and peed on -- twice. Regardless, she managed to get some great shots. This one is our favorite:

In June, Chad's sister and her family visited from Ohio. Becky, Dean, and Paisley got to meet Graham for the first time. It was so cute. Paisley helped Grandma Emie give Graham a bottle. Shortly afterwards, she needed her daddy to give her a bottle as well. Too cute!

Finally, what you've been waiting for -- Cuteness himself:

(I was talking about Graham, but Chad is cute too! LOL)
