Graham and I have ventured out of the Bat Cave recently. After the first two weeks of trying to get each other figured out, we both needed an outing. We had been to our Dr.'s appointments with Dad along to help, but it was time to head out alone. Just him and me. By ourselves.

I tanked him up on milk right before heading out. I'm not quite ready to tackle breast feeding in public even though I bought this extra-cute "Mommy Cover." He fell asleep quickly in the car and, luckily, stayed asleep for the entire outing. I had trouble fitting his carseat into the top of the shopping cart...I couldn't see! So, I put him in the large part of the basket and crammed all of my groceries in around him. I took full advantage of the bagger and asked him to help me out...groceries in one cart, Graham in the other. It was hot and I wanted to get the car started quickly so Graham wouldn't break a sweat. We got it done. He slept long enough for me to get the perishables put away. Success.
We have made a nightly routing of going for a stroller ride around the neighborhood as a family. It's nice because Graham and I get some fresh air and see real alive people out and about. We also get to catch up with Chad and talk about our days with each other. Then, we come home, I give Graham a sponge bath, put him in p.j.'s and get ready to feed him again. Our evenings are not ideal...Graham and I sleep together in the recliner. He just doesn't sleep in his little pack and play. We keep trying him in it, but right now we all get the most sleep if he and I head to the recliner. We'll get there. Right??

Oh he is just precious..... can't wait to get down there and hold him. Thanks for the posting!!!!!!!
Wow - he has really grown!! Good luck with the whole pack n play thing - Paisley hated hers - she always screamed every time we put her in it. She was somehow fine when she was at the grandparent's - go figure. We are looking forward to seeing Graham in person.
I know you were ready to go places--I'm glad the grocery store outing went well. He looks so big and bright-eyed; thanks for the video. Love you all.
Holly, Addi slept in her carrier for the first six months of her life. I actually had the stroller with the carrier next to the bed. I could lean over and check on her. We did the recliner for the first few weeks too until the pediatrician suggested the carrier. Everyone slept better! By twelve weeks, she was sleeping with a pattern, and so were we! Graham is precious! We are so happy for all of you!
