There were lots of "awww's" as I began pulling things out of the closet which we had received as gifts. It was all finally going to have a real home in the nursery rather than piled on the closet floor.
Grandma Emie insisted we go to Babies R Us and get the mattress and changing pad off of our registry so we could put it all together. I just stuck everything on the bed and in drawers. I'll dust everything and wash it all when it gets closer to d-day.
Chad is working on a really cute toy box which we'll put under the window. Here's the progress so far.
He's trying to make it look like a treasure chest. I'm saving all of his little drawings and measurements to put in Kicker's baby book. What a lucky kid to have Chad for a dad :0)
Our next appointment is next week. I'll share if there's any news!

Oh my gosh-that is the cutest nursery ever--the farm animal theme, pale blue walls with black furniture and gingham checks. Granddad and Dad look like pros assembling furniture. I like the lamp and cow rug, the banks etc. on the shelves-(is the rabbit the bank Grandpa made?)Is that the knitted blanket with another row of ribbon added? Good idea....I'm eager to some pixs of Elroy in the blue gingham frame! What a cute picture over the changing table. Daddy Chad has become a great wood-worker-the toy chest will be a keepsake and favorite place when Elroy starts walking and pulling up. Grandma Emie did a nice thing by visiting Babys R Us for the crib mattress. Love you all
very VERY cute. I can't believe he is already making a toy box. Might as well buy some cleats while you're at it, Chad! Haha!! Can't wait to see you over break!
So cute - I am seriously impressed with the toy box.
I want that cow rug. I can't stop thinking about it. I mean, I want it in MY rooommoooooooooooOO! (avoiding grading, slightly loopy)
